Today is the birthday of Talgat Zhakypbekovich Bigeldinov, twice Hero of the Soviet Union, outstanding military pilot, and hero of the Great Patriotic War

Talgat Bigeldinov is a unique figure who brought glory to the Kazakh people throughout the world. His courage, fortitude, and heroism are forever etched in history. During the Great Patriotic War, he fought in the military aviation, demonstrating exceptional bravery and high professional skill. An experienced attack aircraft pilot, he completed hundreds of combat missions and accomplished unparalleled feats in defense of the Motherland.

In the city of Kokshetau, at the intersection of Abay and Bauyrzhan Momyshuly Streets, at the entrance to the Alley of Glory, a bust of Talgat Bigeldinov was unveiled on May 9, 2000, in honor of the 55th anniversary of the Great Victory. The monument was created by sculptor Tleu Binashev and architect Sh. E. Ualikhanov. The pedestal and stylobate are made of granite, and the bust is bronze. The bust is 1.2 meters high, and the pedestal is 3.2 meters.

The name of the Kazakh people, the pride and legendary hero Talgat Bigeldinov will forever be remembered by generations.
