The action "Aughannin asuinda ot keshkender", dedicated to the Day of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan, was held in front of the monument to soldiers who died in Afghanistan
On February 15, 1989, Soviet troops were withdrawn from Afghanistan. This is how the ten-year war ended, in which the Soviet Union lost more than 15,000 citizens. The Day of the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan is a holiday for Afghan veterans, as well as a Day of Remembrance and Mourning for the fallen internationalist soldiers. The Afghan war is one of the most tragic pages in the history of the Soviet Union.
On February 13, 2026, in front of the monument to the soldiers who died in Afghanistan, an action "Aughannin asuinda from Keshkender" was held, dedicated to the Day of the Withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan. The event was attended by students of the Construction Technical College ofKokshetau.
The purpose of the event is to foster memory and respect for the heroic deeds of the soldiers who died in the Afghan war.
