A meeting of the Commission for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments was held in Akmola region
During the meeting, the main directions of the Constitutional Reform – 2026 in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the draft of the new Constitution of the country were discussed.
The Commission members assessed the proposed changes from the point of view of historical continuity and legal development, paying special attention to the preservation of national values, the role of the Constitution in strengthening national identity, as well as the balance between traditions and modern trends, including digitalization and the development of human capital.
The participants noted that the draft of the new Basic Law is aimed at strengthening the human-centered model of the state, expanding the protection of citizens' rights and freedoms, as well as strengthening the principles of justice and the rule of law.
The speaker of the meeting was Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor, advisor to the Rector of Kokshetau University named after Sh. Ualikhanov Seitkasymov A.A., who emphasized the importance of constitutional reforms for the development of Kazakhstan's statehood and the formation of the legal culture of future generations.
Following the meeting, it was noted that the national discussion of the draft of the new Constitution and the upcoming referendum are an important stage in determining the further path of development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
