As part of the celebration of the 180th anniversary of the outstanding Kazakh poet, thinker and educator Abai Kunanbayev, the event "Uly akyn-Abai Kunanbayuli" was held.

On the occasion of the 180th anniversary of the great Abai Kunanbayev, the event "Uly akyn-Abai Kunanbayuli" was held jointly with the MSI "Special City Library for Blind and Visually Impaired Citizens". The event was attended by library readers, teachers and students of the KU named after Sh.Ualikhanov. During the event, information about the life and work of the great poet was presented, video materials were shown, and a tour of the book exhibition was conducted. The students also read Abai's "Words of Edification" about parenting, self-knowledge and moral improvement, which are relevant in our modern world. Library readers sang Abai's songs "Zhelsiz tunde zharyk ai", "Kozimnin karasy". Abai Kunanbayev's works foster in people high moral qualities, love for the motherland, the desire for knowledge and enlightenment, as well as respect for other peoples and cultures. He called for the unity of the Kazakh people, the fight against ignorance, as well as the development of spirituality and morality.
