An action "Astana-Tugan eldin zhuregi" dedicated to the Day of the Capital with students of gymnasium school No. 6 in Kokshetau was held at the monument to "Abylai Khan"

The MSI "Center for the Protection and Use of Historical and Cultural Heritage" of the Department of Culture of the Akmola region held an action "Astana-Tugan eldin Zhuregi" at the monument "Abylai Khan" with students of gymnasium school No. 6 in Kokshetau.

 At the event, they talked about the celebrations of the Capital's Day and the history of the monument "Abylai Khan". 

The authors of the monument are sculptor Baimukashev Yu.D. and architect Dzhumagaliev T.M. The monument was cast in bronze and installed in 1999.  Abylai Khan is depicted sitting on a granite stone and installed in front of the regional akimat building.

The height of the monument is about 5 meters. Behind him stands the "tree of life", about 14 meters high, consisting of three intertwined stems, symbolizing the unity of the people, from the top of which, spreading his wings, soared to the sky sunkar.
