Relief images of a human face - an ancient monument of monumental art was discovered near the village of Balkashino, Sandyktau district, Akmola region

Presumably it belongs to the Turkic period, it is a sanctuary for religious ceremonies. Facial features are characteristic of Turkic fine art. Specialists of the municipal state institution "Center for the Protection and Use of Historical and Cultural Heritage" of the Department of Culture of the Akmola region and archaeologists from the L.N. Gumilev ENU Daniyar Tleugabylov studied this monument and took it under state protection. According to Article 4. of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 26, 2019 No. 288-VI ZRK "On the protection and use of objects of historical and cultural heritage", Identified objects of historical and cultural heritage are included in the list of preliminary registration by local executive bodies of regions, cities of republican significance, the capital and are subject to protection until a final decision is made on their status on a par with historical and cultural monuments in accordance with this Law.
