The video "Er men zherdin zhenisi" dedicated to Victory Day

Victory Day is a holiday celebrated annually on May 9th. For the first time, Victory Day was established by Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR on May 8, 1945 to commemorate the victorious end of the Great Patriotic War of the Soviet people against the Nazi invaders and the historic victories of the Red Army, which culminated in the complete defeat of Nazi Germany.

May 9 is a day that is remembered by all of us as a symbol of the triumph over fascism, a day that recalls the heroic feat of our grandfathers, soldiers who defended peace and freedom.

One of the heroes, Demchenko Kirill Semenovich, was told by the director of the historical museum of the Sandyktau district Kopobav Mendybai Sailaubaevich. Kirill Semyonovich Demchenko, a native of the Sandyktau district, was a scout during the Second World War, was listed as missing. In 2019, the remains of the hero were discovered by members of the Russian search party "Pyramid" from the city of Holm near Novgorod. 78 years later, the remains of the hero were returned to their homeland. The historical museum of the Sandyktau district stores the personal belongings of the hero, discovered along with his remains.

Today we honor the memory of all fallen soldiers and thank those who bravely fought on the fronts and in the rear for the victory. It is our duty to remember everyone who gave their lives for the future of our country.

Happy Great Victory Day!
