Today we celebrate a great event - the 100th anniversary of the National Hero R. Koshkarbayev, a participant in the Great Patriotic War, who on April 30, 1945, during the storming of the Reichstag, together with Private G. Bulatov, was the first to erect the red banner on the Reichstag building.

The celebration of the anniversary is filled with deep respect for the man who made an invaluable contribution to the history of the Victory over fascism. In honor of this event, specialists of the KSU "Center for the Protection and Use of Historical and Cultural Heritage" of the Department of Culture of the Akmola region held a history lesson on the basis of a Special model city library for blind and visually impaired citizens.

The national hero R. Koshkarbayev is a symbol of courage, perseverance and selflessness. His exploits and achievements have become an integral part of our history, inspiring us and future generations to perform feats in the name of peace and prosperity.

May this day be filled with pride for our hero, admiration for his valor and gratitude for his devotion to the Fatherland. Let each of us take an example from him and follow his unsurpassed spirit and determination.

The event was attended by 1st year students of the multidisciplinary college of KU named after Sh.Ualikhanov, who read poems of the war years by Nikolai Aseev, Leonid Martynov, Boris Pasternak.
